John Collison, born in 1990, is an Irish young entrepreneur. He is best known for setting up a tech company called Stripe with his brother Patrick Collison.

The two brothers now own at least $ 1.1 billion and Stripe based on San Francisco has raised $ 150 million from CapitalG as part of a joint venture of parent companies Google and General Catalyst Partners.

Not a high school graduate, the Collison family founded a company called Shuppa in 2007. By 2008, the company was worth $ 5 million when John was just 17 years old.
